Default b16a2 em1 charcoal canister removal??? help..

anyone out there have a write up or pictures of removing the charcoal canister off my 99 civic si??

dont ask me why i want to remove it blah blah blah...becuase i just want to remove it.

and i already am on a jumper to obd1 p28 ecu..

just curious if anyone has removed thiers off thier em1?? thnx...

I wouldnt remove it, I did, and if your not chipped you will throw a cel for the solenoid.

Plus your mpg may go down. After months of searching for a fix, it was a fact its better to leave it on, for many reasons other than emissions.

not to be a dick...but did u even read what i wrote?? i am already jumped to obd1 on a chipped p28...

what other problems would it cause?? i removed the one from my dc2..but thats turbo...

and already obd1.. so im trying to see whats up wit the obd2 ****..even if i am chipped obd1

There's really nothing to it, i just removed it and connected the vent tube from the tank to the line that exits the bottom of the can (which just vents outside the engine bay), cap off the vac lines (if i remember correctly) and your done.

As long as you're obd1, especially a p28, you're all set.

all you have to do is get in a good stance grip the canister with both hands but make sure you have a good grip and with all ur might give one good tug and watch as its removed any other questions let me know

you could get a JDM obd2 ECU . . . they dont throw codes for charcoal can removal . . . im runnin a JDM p73 ITR ecu . . . no codes

any knows if i can remove the purge cut-off solenoid valve and connect the canister directly on intake ?
