ok heres the story... i have a 1994 acura integra gs-r, i havent driven it for about 4-5 months now ...i tryed to start it back up but the battery was dead so i just went out and got a new one figuring the alarm just drained the battery over the months. So i put in the new battery and it cranked but wouldn't start. i check the spark coming from the spark plug wire and there is a spark, and i replaced the spark plugs just a little before i stopped driving it, so they should be good. i was thinking maybe its a ceased fuel pump or something and no fuel is getting to the engine... any ideas?

 

Main relay failure.

If you click the ignition to the On postion you should be able to here your fuel pump prime. If it doesnt click on the on postion its a bad Main relay

 

You need three things

1.) Fuel
2.) Compression
3.) Spark


make sure you are getting all three in the cylinders

 

ok i checked the fuel pump its primiing so i went and pick up new wires and plug ... in the end found out it i just installed the wires in the wrong order somehow...

ok, so now it starts ... and drives fine,,, but once i turn off the car it wont start back up or it will with struggle and battery eventually dies after attempting to cranks over a few times... im guessing damaged or weak alternator which doesnt have the juice to charge the battery once its running?

 

k i check the main relay ... for the 3 clicks.. first 2 are clear but 3rd is hard to hear while your turning on the car but i would say all three clicks are present... grounds should be fine but are there any specific grounds that i may be missing/ oi possibly disconnected?

another thing the battery light was on today while i was driving, so im thinking new alternator is in need or something to do with the voltage/charge

pretty sure you're right about the alternator. also, make sure all your grounds are connected and clean. if needed, you can always add an extra ground too. that's what i did to mine.
