i was driving then i noticed that my shift **** was loose as hell, i tried twisting it to make it tighter but it was just my shifter, the whole thing twisted...i stayed in 2nd gear the whole way home because i cant shift out of it, it feels like im in nuetrel the whole time but worse..it feels really lose, i cant shift into any other gears.

did i blow my tranny? or is my shift linkage [freak]ed up?

 

ummm... peek underneath and check linkage?

 

bump....any thoughts?

Do what he said first.

If the tranny was/is damaged, it wouldn't cause your shifter to spin.

 

crawl underneath your car and inspect shift linkage, u will find out whats wrong.hydro shift linkage has straight forward design.and easy to tear apart and assemble

i know what's the problem it your shifter it broke, happened to my friend we thought it was the tranny i went under the car the shifter broke in half he shift to hard but he was stuck in first so we had to tow the car. its not your linkage or your tranny it the shifter.
