Default Did Habenero Red Pearl Change?

On the Honda website, the pictures of the HRP Si's look like this:

While, every one that I've seen in person or on the internet (actually owned by someone), looks like this:

Did Honda change the color? The only HRP Si's I have seen in person are a pair of '08s and they both look like the second picture. I know the Si in the picture on Honda's website is in the sun, and it's probably been edited a little, but you'd think the car would at least look like that color. The cars in the other pictures, actually look like their colors in person. I have seen HRP in full sun and the color is still disgusting. The picture on Honda's website, on the otherhand, is a hot color.

Another thing I noticed when looking through the pictures on Honda's website:

I think this picture shows the rumored future LED taillight. There is no red where it usually is, and to me, it looks like an LED bar in the upper right corner.

Im sure its just the picture that honda used. Either P/S'd it or something. All the 08's we have here are the same as the 06-07's

Yea...that's what I figured. The color should look like the one on their website.

*EDIT* I edited my OP with a new picture/theory. What's your opinion FBPSidan?

It's just the wa HRP is, it looks very different in different lighting. At times, I thought it was blaze orange metallic, other times it looked like a dark red wine color. Kinda like how NHBP can look almost blue in certain lights

Yea...all cars are like that. I mean, my car always looks blue, but in crappy light, you can't even tell it has a pearl. But, I have seen HRP in full sun, just after it was cleaned at the car wash. It still look dark red wine-ish. lol

I feel the same way, I test drove a black SI and orderd the Habanero from the pics/ads. I was a little disappointed with the color (would have chose the blue). However, it does look more like the ad when cleaned.

Anyway...any comments on the third picture in my OP? Anyone else think it could be the future taillights?

Most of the pictures on hondas site (for the past few years)....

are concept.....actually concept....or conceptual

sometimes you'll actually see a DX garnished in SI gear just to get in the shoots

They actually had a Type R (dressed down) as an Si back in the day on honda of america's site, just to get some shots up .
They however failed to "edit" the 5 lug.

That's the same picture Honda has used in all their 8th-gen civic pamphlets. Yes, it never has looked the same, but you can hardly expect it to. It's an advertisement, and as with all advertising they do what they can to spice it up. Have you ever gone into a Carl's Jr. and had a burger that looked as delicious as the one in the commercial? Negative.

The Galaxy Gray also looks more like a "smoke" color in the pamphlet; I'm glad my dad got a GGM EX before I bought my Si so I could see in person that it is actually more of a dark tan color....
