Default possible to turn a obd1 H22 to obd2 H22

a freind of mine has a 97 Prelude with obd2 and has been looking to replace the failing motor, but all Hmotorsonline has in obd1 H22's. is it possible to convert a obd1 to obd2 with the old motor for the needed sensors? thanks in advance.

yes, just change everything over like wiring harness, dizzy, ecu ect.... to the obd1 engine. Is he looking at just the longblock from hmotorsonline? That's all he really needs so tell him to not waste his money buying the whole swap. Also since I helped you out you should tell him to sell his original h22 longblock to me for uber cheap

Just swap the oil pump from the OBD2 block and place it on the OBD1 block. OBD2 H22's have the CKP and TDC sensors in the dizzy, while OBD2's have those sensors mounted on the oil pump. Make sure you use the harmonic balancer belt pulley from the OBD2 engine. This pulley has pads on it so the sensors CKP and TDC no where the crank is. Use the distributor from the OBD2 engine. I would also use the IM from the OBD2 also just so you don't have to pull the injectors.
