Default 1991 Accord w/seat belt warning beep even WITH seat belts ON ALWAYS

I have a 1991 Honda Accord. I have recently started having a problem with the seat belt warning beeping even when I have my seat belt ON. My seat belts are automatic. They seat belts retract correctly. The beeping turns off every now and then for a day or so but out of the blue starts malfunctioning again. Again let me repeat I WEAR my seatbelt and ALWAys make my passangers as well I did a search on the forum and found no answer yet posted on HOW to fix it. I don't mind the beeping when it is doing its function but who wants the constant annoyance when driving to work and while you are wearing your seatbelt. Driving in traffic is annoying enough. Please help. I want to fix it not disconnect it.

The seat belt control unit is under the passenger side front seat.
you may just have a bad connection, because you say the problem is intermittant.
Try unplugging the connectors and plugging them back in.

The seat belt assembly is supposed to be under lifetime warranty from Honda. American Honda is trying to save money by making a distinction between the seat belt assembly's mechanical components (covered by warranty) and electrical components (not covered by warranty), even though the actual warranty (which I still have) doesn't make that distinction. In other words, all seat belt assembly components should be covered for repair/replacement.

I filed a complaint with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/index.cfm
or call 1-888-327-4236,
The NHTSA representative told me that if enough people file a complaint about the seat belt warning sensor, the NHTSA will make American Honda recall the part(s) as defective. Even if you've already repaired the seat belt assembly, you should still file a complaint, because you can get a reimbursement for the repair if there's a recall.

The NHTSA rep also told me that I should file a complaint against American Honda with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for Honda's failure to uphold their lifetime warranty on the seat belt assembly. I did that at:
https://www.FTCComplaintAssistant.gov/

To make your warranty complaint filing easier, here's American Honda's corporate info:
American Honda Motor Company
1919 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, CA 90501
phone: 800-999-1009

The beeps don't save your life, the mechanical part does.
