whats the compression on f22 with h22 pistons
i'm thinking about getting an accord with a f22 built with h22 pistons and rods. the head is shaved alittle also. i know the pistons are stock bore h22, and stock h22 rods. stock f22 is 8.8-1. i think. a ballpark guess what would the compression be? still turbo capable?
If you could go with the setup you are thinking about you would end up around the 13.5 - 14:1 compression ratio. No go for turbo!
The H22 pistons won't fit in an F22 Block without having the block bored to 87mm. And 87mm is touch and go for the stock F22 cylinder walls. You would probably have to get the block sleeved to go with the 87mm pistons. You also wouldn't wan to use the H22 Rods. They are 143mm the F's are 141.5mm. If you used the H rods and pistons with the 95mm F22 crank your pistons would end up approx. 4.5mm out of the hole.

it is a f22b block if it makes a diff. he said the block and head both had work done so must be bored or sleeved. but if that is my compression that sucks big ones!!!!
F22B DOHC is the same stroke and bore as the SOHC F22 family of engines. Yes it would have had some block and head work done in order to jam the H rods and pistons into it. Your final compression ratio would depend on exactly what work was done and what H pistons are in it.
honestly not a clue. i bought it as a project. has f22a head done up. stage 1 cam. f22b block bored out and he said it has h22 pistons and rods. no telling what it has. but it is 5sp and has stage 2 clutch. i guess i got a mutt!!!
