transmission rebuilding/gear swap question
i have a b16 transmission that didnt go into 3rd most of the time. brought it to a friend shop and open it up, and see that the ring that goes around the gold syncro piece was broken and stuck to the magnet inside the tranny.
then i bought a complete gsr gear set to replace the broken piece and swap out the b16 4th/5th for the gsr 4th/5th. i used the b16 mainshaft and swapped out the b16 3/4 and replaced it for the gsr 4/5.
for the countershaft, do i use the b16 or gsr? and if i use the b16 countershaft, what all do i have to do? take out the b16 countershaft gear 4/5 and use the gsr 4/5?
also, about the shift fork, i can wiggle it around a bit, is that normal? or should i replace that also.
