maintenance required light, when you start you car how many times is it suppose to blink, or is it suppose to blink at all?

 

If it blinks, it means that your coming up to be due for maintainence. I believe it will do this for so many miles before you are due. (not sure the exact amount). When it stays on, that means you are due. This most commonly occurs when your due for an oil change.

 

Sell the car now before it developes a huge costly repair problem. Or, look in the owner's manual. Don't have one? A search on the subject should bring up about a thousand hits.

The only reason it blinks is to catch your attention to do your regular maintenance. You can go turn it off the "maintenance required" light after you've done your regular maintenance.

 

the light should turn on every 7k-7.5k miles. it's in your owners manual. and it should show u how to turn it off
