well my car was hit and wondering how do i go about getting a jdm itr front end conversion through my insurance because i didnt have it in the first place. on the estimates, can i get a estimate for a jdm front end or the estimate will be for the usdm front end? sorry for all the questions.

How much of the front end is damaged? fenders, bumper and hood? Usually the guys on the board tell the insurance company to give them a check for the full value of the USDM replacement parts and they they buy the JDM front end kits themselves and make up the difference. Simply tell the repair shop you want them to replace your front end with the JDM one (take it to a shop that has done one or two before, maybe more). Talk to Mike or Dave on the board, they can hook you up.

 

well if ur in socal then u should have no problem going to hondamotorsonline.com/, look for their address on the site. I got myt front end with the OEM HID for 2600 shipped. if you pick it up it will be 2400. it will be used but a competent bodyshop can make it right. As for the estimatexs on your car, go to the most high end bodyshop you can find, get a very high estimate by telling them that you want only OEM parts that are brand new (often insurance companies will want you to get parts that are not OEM quality because it is cheaper). Then tell the insurance company that you want a cash settlement due to whatever (come up with something). Then take that money and buy the jdm front and spend the rest on the bodywork.

Its not damaged badly. He hit me on the left side (front view) and it has a dent and the hood is bent; its kind of like "^", where it was pushed back and bent up. I will post pics tomorrow.

 

jdmspoonitr, you got the WHOLE kit with HID for only 2600 shipped?! is this the real deal or is it fiberglass? that is unusually cheap for the front end conversion. if this is for real, maybe i can wait on the toda b set up...
