94 Accord EX-Oil Pump issue
At least, I believe it's the oil pump.
The engine has been running very hot as of late. I can start it up, drive for a little while and it's fine, but if I start to brake/stop a lot or just drive for an extended period of time, the oil light starts to flicker, and then stay on if I'm stopped at a stop light. Then, the oil light just starts to flash until I've given the engine enough time to cool off completely and rest.
Just today then, my maintenance light went on, and engine temp zoomed up to near max almost immediately, and I stopped driving it. I think it's the oil pump, because the oil light also comes on when I'm in park, neutral, reverse, or on an incline/decline.
Do any of you guys have any other idea's of what it could be perhaps? I'm not very knowledgeable in car engines yet, and the idea is really just some musings between my father and I. Other things I'd like to know is, if it is the oil pump any idea how much it would cost to fix it? And would it be best to have a dealership fix it? Let me know if you need more information about the vehicle. Any help is very appreciative!

Is the thermostat good, and the coolant level is where it should be?
I'm assuming you checked the oil level and it's where it should be? What weight oil are you using?

I think you're conflating one issue with another: namely an overheating problem with an oil pressure problem. You need to figure out why you are overheating, which is as serious as an oil pressure problem.
