Default How to Secure Del Sol Spoiler against theft

Hello all,

I have a 94 Del Sol VTEC with spoiler that comes stock and I just wanted to get some input on how to secure the spoiler. The spoiler has 8 phillips screws, and im worried that someone could just come with a screwdriver and take it. I would like to get some suggestions from someone with experience on how to secure it against theft such as using a different type of screw? Adding crazy glue to the screws? etc.

Thanks

Have pictures? I want to see what you're talking about with the screws.

Liquid nails. They'll break it trying to take it off.

I'm a fan of the 'if I can't have it no one can' method.

Well I'd probably use the liquid nail thing if you plan on never taking it off. Have you ever had it stolen form you before?

I havent had it stolen before, but im just not comfortable since i have to park it on the street at night.

I was thinking of using the same screws that it has right now and just stripping the head so a screwdriver wont work. I dont plan on taking it out since the whole spoiler assembly can be unscrewed from underneath the trunk lid.

Another option i was thinking about putting plaster on top of the screws but this measured seems a bit too drastic since i would have to paint over it.

Any other suggestions?

I would say finding the strongest stuff Loctite makes, or maybe even a little JB Weld on the threads...

fill the holes with super glue, then put the spoiler together, use superglue on the 2 mounting surfaces as well.

or you can get a chain and chain it to the trunk or to the tow hook. Aren't no body will take it away from you.

Look man, I dont know where you guys live but I live in a place where theyll take anything including the little metal honda sign or anything they can take. If someone doesnt have anything to contribute I would prefer you not posting anything. Plus this applies to other people that may have something they want to secure.
