b18a clutch help

Default b18a clutch help

Ok i bought an act clutch kit for 91 b18a i went to the act website to cross refernce part numbers and everything is fine except it says that the clutch disc i have is for a 92-93 integra
is there a differnce between 90-91 and 92-93 clutch discs?????????

Not shure,must verified....but I think the spline are different between those 2.(90-91 vs 92-93).

The size of the spline shaft is different between 90-91 and 92-93 transmissions.

90-91 Integra = 24mm spline shaft on the transmissio(tranny code = S1)
92-93, 94+ = 25mm spline shaft on the transmission(tranny code = YS1)

What this equates to is that the hole in the clutch disk is smaller on the 90-91 than on the 92-93, 94+ engines. I pisses me off how many people that sell clutches can't get their **** straight about this.

You need to use the clutch disk that goes with your transmission. I prefer the 92-93 transmission b/c it's the newer of the 2 versions, and it is easier to get parts for.

So for reference I have a 91 B18A with a 93 YS1. So I am using a clutch set for a 92-93 integra.

my mounts are fine now biotch...plus im having a friend weld an extra bracket on so it will be on there solid, probably more solid than buying aftermarket and like $250 cheaper...stop hatin!!! ur just pissed off cause u dont have and will never get my shifter boot. GO FIND U A SUNFIRE TO LOSE TO BIOTCH!!!

Well i called the shop i orderd the clutch from and the disc are infact differnt they let me exchange with no problem
