What kind of ECU is this?
The ECU says P2P-A31.I know its for a 96 civic but what I want to know is if its for an automatic or manual,vtec or non vtec,if it is vtec ecu will it work on a D15B and how much are theese ECUs worth used?
96-00 civic (have topost a pic to be sure its a 96)
non high altitude, non california ECU
that's all i know........
i belive 3 was a mnaual, but it's obd2a so im not sure
chipable but with a $400+ oki and expensive burner with a programn you have to write yourself

96-00 ECUs (P2E, P2P, P2J, P72)
5spd = 000, 001, 002, 003, A00, A01, A03, C00, C01, C02, C03, J00, J01, J02, A11, C11
Auto = A70, A71, A72, A91, A92, C70, C71, C72, C91, C92
From the patterns we can learn the following:
-First letter = country of orgin
J = Japan
C= Canada
A=USA
-Second digit, if 5, 7, 9 then ecu is auto usually
-Third digit denotes the version/variation
The ECU you have (P2P A31) is a 99-00 Honda Civic EX 2 5-speed. Which is obd2b and SOHC VTEC.
It will run a D15b but i wouldnt recommend it.
Youll prolly throw codes.
Generally those ECU's are around a 100 dollars.

if you manage to sell it? nobody really wants them, probably around $25 bucks. since you do not have a california ecu, nobody wants it for smog/inspection purposes.
as stated by me before the OKI and burners are out of this world in prices (close to volkswagen piggyback prices LOL)
and ya.

p06 ecu's are worth about as much as a p28........don't know why you guys think that the p28 ecu's are the only ones that are chipable

I no alot of ecu's are chippable, he just is acting like its for just a stock car. Right now he has a p05 in his dx and its running abnormaly and he needs a p06. At least, im pretty sure the 92-95 dx's came with p06's. or maybe hes just looking for a virgin ecu

P05 is a DANGEROUS ECU to run in a DX, You'd be running lean as [freak], the P05 is only an 8 valve ECU...

let me clarify.
EJ girl got confused, she thought your ecu was obd1 and worth something to the chipping scene. she thought hers was useless too, but in fact it was one of the second ecu's that are lusted after.
so here is a GENRAL parts list:
p28, p06, p75 etc 100~150 depending on virgin, chipped and what map is burned on the eeprom/ what some one will pay for it.
obd2a- L code california maybe 25~50, so someone that swapped to obd1 can swap back real quick and pass an emissons test real quick
obd2b (this is yours) -A code....essentianlly NOTHING, id list it for 30 bucks and see if you can get that even if. the obd2a/b with non-flashable eeproms (anything under year 2001) non california on high altitude...........nothing really.
can't ship it to a cali guy for emissons testing, chipping will cost you upwards of 500 bucks, (the burner is stupid high)
