I have a 92-95 1.5L sohc vtec. I usin a 96-00 map sensor (its all i have other then a CRX map sensor). Is there any difference in the 2 sensors other then 1 of them is located on the firewall and the other on the TB? I have a check engine light on and im throwin codes 3 MAP ,14 IAC, 8 TDC. I would think they are the same because of people swapin the newer motors in (96-00). If they are different is there any way I rig it to read right by switchin sum wires around or sumthing or will the one off of my CRX work? When I bought my car it didnt not have a map sensor on it so the newer (96-00) map sensor is all I could get my hands on. Its funny because the didnt have a enough power to get out of its own way till I hooked this map sensor 2night now it runs like there is a different motor under the hood, It will spin 2nd gear now!!! LOL

 

I dont know if they're diff. or not, but 92-93 civics had the map on the firewall and 94-95 (and maybe 96-00) have them on the t/b. Im thinking that it will work, but cant say for sure.

Not all of them, my 92 CX D15B8 had the MAP on the TB.

I can't figure this out, maybe someone can chime in.

 

OK well they may be the same just mounted in different places through the years. But can any1 explain the codes, and why all of the sudden the car wants to run like a raped ape????

 

well after sum research and lookin on the web I have found out that my car does not have the egr valve and that the IM has been changed to sumthing like a HF mani or sumthing. I know the flames are comin now but whatever.
