5th gen prelude hid install help
Bought some hids for a friend of mines prelude. I'm having some problems trying to install the bulb. The oem bulb comes with an adapter piece in order for the bulb to be held in place by the clip. The hid kit doesn't come with the adapter piece. What are some of guys doing for the adapter piece? Part #2 in the picture.
I think you mean to say you bought 'xenonHID style' H-1 bulbs for your Prelude. Number 2 in the parts exploded view is where you stick the bulb. The old one pulls out. A real HID kit will have projectors and is a serious mod to the OEM lamp assy. which has to be separated and custom cut for the projector.

I simply drilled out the center of part #2 to the point where the HID bulb harness would pass through the center and the bulb would sit snugly inside. This took me about 15 minutes. You will have to aim the headlights down a bit after the lights are installed. This will prevent blinding oncoming traffic. Good luck.
