Default Tranny Oil

I bought a 94 Accord EX 5spd 3 days ago and now I'm changing the oil, the timing belt, and checking the car for any hidden suprises. I want to change the transmission oil but I can't find the oil that the owner's manual recommends. I bought a Haynes manual and it says to use API grade SG with 10W-40 viscosity. I just want to know what other users use and what you don't use.

thanks =]

Honda ATF. Available at any Honda Parts department. Some use redline.

Honda ATF.
Not in a 5 speed. Did you mean Honda Manual Transmission Oil?

just get it from honda, you're only going to save maybe $5 at the absolute most by getting something from the loccal auto parts store.

I'll pay that for doing it right anyday!

Honda MTL is recommended for most applications.

As for your timing belt, have fun. You're going to have to remove that driver's side motor mount...
