Default 99 si cluster speedo and temp issue

I got an SI gauge cluster on my 96 ek gsr hatch. My RPMs work and my gas gauge works. But my Speedo and my temp gauge don't move. Is there a way to check if those are functioning on the cluster? Or could it be something else other than the cluster?

If the odometer and tripmeter also don't work, then you probably have a bad vehicle speed sensor (VSS). If they work, you speedo is likely bad.

For the temperature gauge problem, troubleshoot the ECT sending unit (one wire) next to the ECT sensor (two wires) under the distributor. If you ground the ECT sending unit connector to the engine, the temperature on the gauge should rise. If this doesn't happen, then the gauge itself is bad. Otherwise, the sending unit is bad.
