Default Resonator Question

How important is the resonator to the car, can this be remove and what effects does it have?

Is it part of the intake, coz mine is attached to it and I'm wondering if I remove this what will happen.

Thanks

It cancels some off the intake "roar". That is why your "engine" gets louder when you floor after installing a cold air.

Should not cause any problems, just make sure all Vacuum lines are plugged (the cold air kit only comes with one nipple to be plugged, but there are always more than one vacuum line going into the stock air-box/tube assembly).
