Default satin black paint job stigma

Im a fan of satin black paint jobs, what i dont understand is the stigma behind them. Let me explain, people aka so called detailers say when you have a satin black paint job that it wont last/you wont be able to clean it. WTF BBQ I dont understand that...dont you just get satin black paint and use flat clear coat? Then it would be like any other "glossy" color paint job in terms of maintenance/durability/etc. Basically they make it seem as if going with a satin black paint job is hard to execute...someone in the know please enlighten me.
