Default 96 brake cable replacement

I need to replace the right hand brake cable on a 96 accord lx, 4 dr, drum brake and no abs.

My manual shows how to adjust but nothing on replacement. Is this going to just be nuts and bolts, or is there anything special I should know.

Thanks,
Gmon

you'll need to take the brake drum off and the brake shoe to get the cable loose,
then there is a metal 'basket' that retains the back end of the cable. It has to be squeezed up to get the cable free of the backing plate.
while you have the car on jack stands, you can see under the car that the brake cable runs above the exhaust shrouds. Sometimes it is easier to take the exhaust pipe loose at the rubber hangers and then unbolt the shrouds.
