Yes, a lot of people do that actually. A nice catch can is cheap though, why do it that way?

a catch can it used to take the oil out of the intake charge from the pcv system

a catch can is not to take oil is to catch it hense the name catch can

just stick the hose in the bottle and dont try to put the cap on. no need for the filter.

dont forgot you have to plug the intake arm nipple.

i would also vent the PCV valve too. same way, to the same bottle and then plug the IM nipple.

is there a detalied diagram to show me the pcv, where to nipple, basically a full (easy) catch can set up. none of this feeding oil back or black box stuff. Just a easy way to catch dirty scuzz.

no need to use the bottle those catch cans are cheap enough.. or you can just hide the soda bottle in a spot were no one can see it
