Ok I am not an idiot, but I have no idea what the break down is on all the honda motors. Can somebody shed some light on it for me? I mean, I know B16 is 1.6 and the LS b18 is 1.8, but what about the a or a1, or a2, a3, the zc, the d16y7, the d17z8, k20a, k20a2, k24, k series z or something.... please help me undersand it, and what are ALL of the deferent types and models? what is the deferance betwen them? In the past I have had a 98 cx hatch, which I admit I had no idea what I was doing. I put on an exaust and intake, front and rear top sway bars. Got rid of it to find my 96 del sol si, which I was told that being the dark green and having the B16a2 was rare but not to sure how rare or if at all. I got rid of the del slow due to a few back surguries and I didn't think I would be ok to ride that rough and get in and out of it to easy... cardomain.com/id/del_slow let me know what you think of it. But now I have an 89' , well the vin plate says 88' so I am guessing its a 89'. I am big into car audio and worked at a shop where we decided that the crx would be the best car for SPL. We pulled the crap motor and put in a LS. After a but load of hush matt, 4 15" subs, we felt that only 163 db was not good enough, so I bought the car myself. Well, I have stripped it down and now I am thinking of doing a K swap... not sure what it all intails, but there seems to be a lot of good info here... Rexman, ryan (rywire), and a few others... I don't know all the ins and outs of the K or really anything, but I was thinking of trying it. Here are the questions. If I want to start N/A then try 6-8 psi turbo latter on, what am I going to need to do the full N/A swap. motor, trany, ecu, axels, ( i read on here that in the 89' crx si which I have, that base rsx axels work), shift cables all that junk... where can I find it at a good price (see cheap). I was recently medicaly discharged from the Marine Corps after 8 1/2 years, and I am waiting for disability.... so once I get it the crx will obviously be a budget thing to work on. But any how, I'm here and want to learn, hit me up with any info you got for me, sorry about being so long winded, thanks... also what about all of the ecu combos...
