I have an 88 crx hf that just started ticking in the bottom end. what motor can i put in the car and use all of my stock hf parts harness/ecu/intake mani/exhaust mani. anything besides the stock d15b6?

 

You can actually use your stock HF manifolds and ECU with ANY SOHC D-series motor. Just don't expect anything to actually make power with that stuff, though.

 

don't want power. want gas mileage.

 

seek another HF motor, simple as that. look here on HT since guys rip them out all the time . could probably get a decent running one for $100

 

I'll have my 91 HF motor pulled before the end of April. LMK

Gas mileage will be less than ideal with anything but another HF motor. Just try to get another one.
