DOHC ZC OBD1 > OBD0 > OBD1 conversion?
ok, so like i said before, i just bought an 89 civic si, with a 92 dohc zc swap. the guy i bought it from told me he converted the obd1 motor, back to obd0. he sold me the car with a bunch of spare junk in the trunk. some of that being a dizzy sub assembly (may not be complete), and 3 ecu's. two PG7's (88-89 integra) and a P29 (obd1 ZC ecu).
now, obviously, i would rather run the obd1 p29, rather than an integra ecu. so im trying to figure out what i need to convert back. the car as of now is running a td03 obd0 dizzy, and i believe i need to use a td34u or something. like i said, it has another dizzy sub assembly, which im not sure, but i would assume it is the obd1 distributor.
so question 1, can i use the obd0 cap, rotor, ignitor, cam angle sensor, etc, and just replace the sub assembly? or do i need to buy a whole distributor, top to bottom?
now for questions 2 and so forth. do i need to replace the o2 sensor with a 4-wire? or can i just run the one wire o2? what about injectors, resistors, etc??? anything else you guys can think of that needs to be replaced for me to convert to obd1???
and last, but not least, of everything i need to replace, especially the jdm distributor, where can i find that???
thanks a lot guys, need more info, let me know.

yes you need a special obd1 zc dizzy I think distributor king has the proper one, its probably one of the most rare ones. I think the obd1 dizzy doesnt use that extra cam sensor on the exhaust cam but dont quote me on that. I do not know if the zc uses a 4 wire o2 but my guess would be yes. so what you would need would be the ecu jumper harness, a dizzy jumper harness, an obd1 zc dizzy, and a 4 wire o2
anybody else want to interject??
thanks for the response. i think ive read that the zc obd1 still uses a single wire o2. but i need that confirmed. i know i need the dizzy, but i still need to know if i need the whole assembly, or if any cap and rotor might swap over to work on the sub assembly. i didnt know about the cam angle sensor part, but if so, what do i do about the cam angle sensor that is there now? plug??? which might make sense, because there was a plug in the back of the car, with the rest of the junk in the trunk.
thanks.

the P29 ECU uses a 1-wire O2 sensor - the distributor for the OBD1 DOHC ZC is TD43U - TD43 cap is not the same as TD03 - it is same as 94-up LS B18 - you can't use the OBD0 distributor with the OBD1 ECU - cam plug from B18A1 will work to replace the cylinder sensor
I just got my Obd-1 Dohc Zc about a week ago. I was actually suprised to see the 1 wire 02 sensor myself. I'm not sure what the solution is. I'm thinking that I'll have to switch over to the 4 wire...

Just get a chipped p28 with a zc program, it can use the 4 wire o2 then.

Yes the cam sensor is in the obd1 dizzy. If you have any questions you should really check out this site for the parts list for a zchttp://www.thezcr.com/forums/s...12262

ok, awesome. thanks for the replies.
so on another note... my zc feels weak...
the power band just doesnt feel smooth or strong at all. my girlfriends 90 si, with the stock a6 raps up quicker. i dont know that its stronger, but it does better as a dd. on the highway, i have to drop to 4th, and sometimes third just to keep speed up hills... is that normal? or possibly my tranny is *expletive*?

so i have made my own jumper harness ( hoping it works), and i bought a td43u from tigerjapanese.
i now need to know if anyone has a pin out diagram for distributor conversion? i found the obd0-obd1 that is stickied here, but as you know, the obd0 dohc zc has a cam angle sensor external from the dizzy. and thus creating the difference of the 7 pin obd0 plug, and my 5 pin obd0 plug, with another two wires running to the said cam angle sensor.
anybody got a solution for me? thanks!
