Probably easier to just ask RyWire, but yeah they take both harnesses, and turn it into a plug and play harness for the Type R motor.

Basically they put the connectors from the Type R motor on your Si harness then do all the wire swapping for the OBD1 ECU. So yes, they need both harnesses.

EDIT: Also you linked the wrong one. Here's the one you actually need: http://rywire.com/store/8891-c...91f30

Actually those first plugs look like the ones to the master cylinder. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Those are for the reverse light switch.

The master cylinder wires aren't a part of the engine harness. They are part of the actual harness that runs along the firewall under your carpet and to your ecu

Also the 3 wire plug your holding is for the tps sensor on the back of the throttle body. It couldn't be for the map sensor becuzz the map sensor plug is not on the engine harness either!

And yes there were no harnesses for the manifold at all. also, my original crx already has a harness for the map thats not on the engine harness. and i guess they added one on.

You can start your car without alot of things, luckily the reverse light has nothing to do with starting your car. There should be a needle looking thing on your tranny for that to go on if its the reverse lights. it should be right under the distributor, i think.

Actually same thing happened to me. Havent figured it out yet since am not home but I think hydro and cable trannies have different plugs. They gave us the cable connectors which do not match the hydro plug. But you should be able to start your car without them...i did

If you ground pin D4 at the ecu the check engine light in the cluster will blink just like the red light would giving you your codes

I have a B16B in my CRX, when I got the engine harness back from Rywire, they had used the CRX engine harness plugs (the one male connector and one female). It was a simple fix, just cut the plug from the reverse harness on the transmission and put the correct plugs to connect to the Rywire engine harness.

but the 2 wires from tranny are the same colors.
both wires are green with black and purple strips.
and then the complete harness has 2 wires.
a yellow wire And a green wire withe 2 black strips

It shouldn't matter what wire on the engine harness connects to which wire on the trans. The switch in the transmission should just connect the two wires together when in reverse.
