Which Clutch is bettee
It is almost time to change my clutch and I have a budget of around $500.
What will be a good one to go with.
Everything in my car is stock and my engine is D16Y7.
I am also thinking to change a light flywheel

An OEM setup would work out just fine. And you could get one for really cheap.

This clutch kit is made by gripforce. Its only $77 shipped, and is everything you need.

I wouldn't trust a $77 clutch,
Gripforce or not , especially from Ebay
. Go with an OEM, then you know it'll fit your car and you wont be getting one that fits a Skyline or something.

Exedy Stage I Clutch with a lightweight flywheel is what I went for. Feels great, nice and casual, and the lightweight flywheel gives some good response when you want to get from stop to go. Cost was well within your price range, and nothing's gone wrong for 2-3 years since I installed it myself.

I would of said for him to go with OEM but he wanted cheap. OEM isn't the cheapest thing out there. But great products Honda Genuine they are.

that's what i was going to say exactly
the 11lb wont be to light for daily and the exedy oem's are smooth
however i do have a friend with the organic and it is nice to.
just stay away from the crazy light fly. 10-11lb is my suggestion
i run a 10lb and well... it don't mater what clutch i run (def not oem lol)

When you guys talking about OEM clutch. What do you mean?
Is it the one that I can buy from the dealer?
Or is the one that can be buy from the website saying is OEM?
Please define it from me.

From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
Buy an OEM exedy on ebay. $150ish. Dont buy an insanely light flywheel like 7 or 8lbs. Those are the cheapest ones...but it might be annoying.
11-13lbs should be a good street flywheel with desireable qualities (for a street car).

OEM means original equipment manufacturer. Which happens to be Daikin (exedy) for honda.
The OEM replacement clutch is available on ebay for $150ish. This can be found at speed shops, or other stores as well. You can try the dealer too...www.hondaautomotiveparts.com. They have awesome prices, but, again, you can get the same thing for cheaper on ebay or at another shop.

By OEM, yes they mean the clutch you'd go to Honda and buy. Honda Genuine parts from the dealership were made for your car, not just simply able to fit it.
If you are planning on keeping the car stock, and already have a money figure in your head that high, go OEM. Don't cheap out on the installation either....

Honda does not make clutches. It outsources to Daikin for clutches. You can do the same....err...through another source besides the Honda dealer.
