My EFs intro thread to honda-tech, Purp purp Flame on
Been a member here for quite some time so i guess its time to make one of these threads so here it goes:
A little about me: Names Joe, i live in Rochester NY, ive owned this car for quite some time and have had a few different turbo setups in it over the years starting with the days of the AFC hack all the way up to now, went to school for Toyota/lexus and work at a local Acura dealership playing with them all day
The Car:
1990 std hatch
Engine:d16y8 fully rebuilt by me with cp pistons/eagle rods/honda mains/acl rods, Ectuned on a .42 .48 by dave blundell and xenocron. the car put down 265whp 245whtq @ 20 lbs, car runs strong and pulls good, ran it once at the track last year on street tires, car went 13.5 @ 115 with a 2.6 60 before i blew 3rd diff the cars had in it apart, just got it out for this year hoping to get my 60ft down a tad as it could deffinatly use it.

wing has been killed, it was just something we tried with some extra paint, diddnt come out good at all so its back to flat with no worries

Sometimes EF's have a need to be rough, and need to show they were hardened over time. EF's are like some 70 year old black guys you meet, they're beat, been through alot of ****, took all the world threw at them, but it's those qualities that sometimes makes them one of the coolest cats you ever meet.

ive never really paid much attention to the visuals of the car, the wheel paint cost me more then the paint for the car, the build/suspension has been my main focus, i guess its time to start cleaning up some of those little things that have been bugging me now that the build is pretty much complete

ehh . . got some work to do.
I too was once a fan of the wing prop but after i got my car cleaned up and started diggin lower " offset wheels i thought it would be niice if the whole car flowed and I stared at the wing for an hour or so and decided to kill it and bring it back down.
sorry about that whole life story but ya.
