what do i have and what do i need to make it faster with out being loud(budget)
I don't know why i bother with these anymore.
you will need lots of money to:
build your current motor
Swap it for something else. (read the faq)
or buy some NOS

Sell the Accord. Go buy an old 5.0 Mustang. It won't be much faster, but it'll be easier and you'll be happier with the results.
I AM being serious by the way.

honestly, there isn't anything you can really do that will make a difference without spending $1000 or more. the car is 18 years old. if you have two kids, i would consider saving money towards something a little roomier than dumping money into an old accord.
i know but there good on gas and low maintenance i just need so tips and hints please anything

break down. i see more 4th gen accords on the road than any early 90s model car. keep up the maintenance and they can go 200-300k. there is nothing wrong with putting money in an old car. majority of this forum has 90s model cars. with age will come maintenance. thats a given. beats having a car note if the repairs aren't extensive. also what we don't know is if this is his beater or daily. he never stated.

Man no one is showing this guy and love with his CB Accord.
The best place to start it to make sure your engine is running healthy. Get yourself a good tune-up kit (cap, rotor, spark plugs, wires and filters). Next change all your fluids (oil, trans, etc)
From there the next place to go it letting your engine breathe better with an intake and exhaust. Since you don't want any more noise these might not be a good option for you. Perhaps just stick with a high flow drop in style air filter such as a K&N.

Hey....My old 5.0 was really reliable... the only time it ever was down was when I broke something being stupid. Blew up a new transmission (T5s don't like powershifts), killed 3 starters (never knew why) and finally blew the rear 1 hr before the new owner took ownership....other than stone reliabe... a bit thirsty. And I bet it was way faster than most hopped up Accord I'll ever run into.
