94/95 Grille on a 1996 Coupe
Will a oem grille off of a 94 or 95 Accord fit on my 96 LX coupe? I've heard they do, except for the fact that they must be 4 cylinders..is this correct?
I was thinking about going around to some junk yards and looking for a 94/95 grille, but wanted to make sure it was worth it before spending the time and money.
Thanks!

Great.
Are the locations of the screws/holes the same from year to year?
And just an opnion question...I have the stock Champaign/Beige color 96 coupe, would you reccomend a tan 94/95 grille or should i search for a black one? Or are they easily paintable- b/c i think i would prefer black.

look on ebay and buy a "type R" style grille for your coupe. maybe like $30 shipped. Then go to Autozone/Kragen/checkers/o'reilley's and buy a $5 can of Duplicolor color-match paint and paint it the factory color.

They're the exact same mounting.
Personally I prefer color matched. I had a "Type R" one and painted it white to match my car and then painted the mesh black, looked pretty bad ***.
Your color would be hard to match, it's most likely the "Heather Mist" which is kinda gold, kinda silver.

yup gold/silver, sounds about right. You think autozone/Advanced auto/ect.. would carry the paint to match?
btw, i like that idea...sounds pretty sweet
have any pics?

Okay, but the grille off ebay comes in black correct? How does that look without paint, cuz i am thinking all black would go nice with the setup i have on the front.
not saying all of them are like this and this was like 2 years ago, but i got those Type R Grill replica ebay ones and had a problem with fitment, the middle on the top dips down as if someone put a heat gun to it and molded it to make a U's shape so it does not go flush with my hood or anything.. but thats just from my grill im sure not are all like that and maybe i just got a bad egg.

I think the moulding machine was the problem, because i used to have one "type r" grille also, and it was like that also...

I have one on my car, I kept it black for like a month, but it looked like my grille was missing. I then color matched it to my car with a can of Duplicolor Import spray paint. Kept the mesh black. Looks awesome now.
:edit: mine also dipd in the center. it bothered me at first, but it looks WAY better than the '94-'95 piece.
