i got a 95 eg hatch dx last month

first encounter is over heating check the radiator put some coolant in reservoire
cause its empty and to coolant on top of radiator inside since then its seems fine
temp needle wont go up high anymore

today on my way to park and ride
the car feels chocking during acceleration on the stop it feels like bogging and dying anyone can point me to right direction

got to do oil change also

have you checked the thermostat to see if it is stuck open??? you should pressure test the cooling system.... when you are driving are you blowing white smoke out the exhaust??? if you are most likely the headgasket is blown

 

Ya you first want to find out where your coolant is going and fix that.

 

when i got the car 3 wks ago the coolant reservoire is empty and you wont see coolant on top of radiator went out to get a coolant/antifreeze fill up the radiator and reservoir use it for a while then today the car boggs and its feels like quiting. during acceleration the car boggs or feel light coughing. ill go check the spark plug maybe.

the car has a 159k miles i dont know what the last owner did regarding maintenance

no white smoke at all and thanks for the help

is it woth it to fix the engine or go for a swap

im leaning on swap since its a project car but money is tight this days
