I dont know how to explain this correctly...

I need to get rid of my 07 Civic Lx to go back to school and I was wondering if there were any sites or places I can post my car to sell it fast...

I also still owe a little under 21k, stupid mistake... any help would be appreciated...

Let the "Hating" begin...

21k for an LX!!!

X3

my best bet would be to quote it on kbb or on edmunds and just sell it to a private party.

probably be able to get the most money like that.

My guess is that he financed the car, and the total amount he owed on the loan at the beginning was like $27k. I am financing my Si and my payoff amount is $25.5k as of my last statement.

OK...anyone who finances a car is doing the same thing. If you finance you car, you may think the price you agreed to do with your salesman is what you are paying. But, when you factor in the interest rate (included in your monthly payment), you actually pay A LOT more than msrp in the end. That is how they make money.

lol um no, you got raped.

The INTEREST tacked on to the loan is one thing, but to owe 25k as a payoff = you got your civic ta Neverland Valley Honda.

yup. i paid 22,890 for my SI with tax, licensing, plates... etc.

after the interest was factored in it ended up being close to 30k. 11.24% on a 5 year plan.

edit: and that was with 0 down and no credit history.

I paid 17,4000 OTD for my lx coupe. put 3,300 down with 6% interest. So I only financed 14,100.

you're forgetting the part about me paying $0 down and not having a credit history.

my bank did a finance quote for me and told me the same thing; that i don't have enough credit history to get a lower interest rate. my bank wanted to charge me 12.55% for 5 years and 14.65% for 6 years.

i paid pretty much dealer cost for the car itself (cost is 19,600... i paid 19,800) the car is an '08 and had 24 miles on it when i bought it. the Aero kit was supposed to be 1900 installed. i got them down to 1430 installed for that.

so before you try to stuff my own shoe back in my face, take your shoe out of yours first.

Then DONT BUY A NEW CAR. or add 2000 aero kits lol

If its beyond your means , there is nothing about picking up something a little more affordable and 2-3yrs old and being a little smarter with your finances.

VS Overpaying due to having a bad credit history so you prolong it, vs correcting it.

OP you're going to take a huge hit on that because you won't get 21k for it. Keep it for now and try to pay down the loan a bit more.

I only put $500 down, which was retarded. and buying the LX was another retarded thing i did. but my interest is only 6%... no credit history. i defiently regret buying this car. great gas saver tho. I had a inline 6 93 Jeep gas hog cherokee before my civic.

im hating life right now. has anyone ever taken thier car back to the dealer and sold it back to them? ahhhhhhh... F*** me...

I saved up for 3 years to put 5,000 down, no credit history and I got the car for just under 21k. I pay 480 a month but only pay it for 2 years

I told the dealer I only had 1000 dollars to put down, he then took out a bottle of KY to start the talk about payments and interest exc. I let him do his thing and he said like every other dealer. Look your paymens are so high because you are only putting 1k down. If you can come with more money ill see what I can do. I basically got the payments and interest where I wanted and busted out the other 4k. Which dropped my interest down alot and reduced my paymens by almost 100 dollars. So he basically screwed himself because he wanted more money.

My uncle taught me that little trick

Holy **** you got raped for your car. Oh well, atleast you bought it for yourself and didnt get it from mommy and daddy like some people.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I don't really understand how I "got raped". My car is only 4 months old and I didn't have to make a payment until the second month, which was nice since it was right around Christmas. I have only take about $1300 off of my pay-off so far, so at the start it was right around $27k. I already stated I have poor credit (ex-f**king-gf ran up credit card bills) so I don't think I made out too bad.

I had a little over $3k to put down, and then the week before my car was delivered, I was an idiot and left my debit card in the atm when I was taking money out. Apparently, someone walked up to the atm literally one minute after me (as it shows in my bank statements) and proceeded to withdrawl $1500 from my account, over 3 transactions. I guess the shitty atm I was at asked if I wanted another transaction and the person said yes and drained half of my checking account in two minutes. At my bank, you need to re-enter your pin to do another transaction.

Anyway, I went to my bank to report that I left my card in another bank's atm and that bank couldn't find my card. That's when my bank and I discovered the fraudulent withdrawls. I had to file all of this stupid paperwork, and they said they had to investigate the situation. I complied, because I figured it would be an open and shut case, because all ATMs have camera. So I was out $1500 that was reserved for my down payment. So I only ended up putting down $1750, which hurt me too.

Anyway, the story gets better! I thought that once the bank reviewed the video from the other bank's atm, that my money would be back in my account in no time. But, a week later, I get a letter that, in short, says "After investigation, we have determined that there were no fraudulent withdrawls from your account...blah blah blah". I was so pissed.

People are so lame. Just this past weekend, I drove my gf back to Bloomsburg (where she goes to school) and I helped her bring all of her stuff into her dorm. I come out to my car (after being inside for 10mins at the most) and I do the 360° inspection of my car. On my truck, someone ran a key all along the top of my trunk. Now, I don't know anyone there, so it is just someone who was like jealous of my car or something. IDK. It just proves you can't have anything nice. Most people have no respect for what isn't theirs.

On a bright side; it looks like the key mark is only a little into the clear, so scratch-x should get rid of it. Luckily, I had just cleaned/waxed/clay barred my car, so the finish was silky smooth. Bitch couldn't get a bite with their key. Lol.
