my car smokes white and also little bit of water comes out from the exhaust pipe. Did a compression test but im not sure if i did it right and i only got 60 psi
im not really sure if its the head gasket... i just dont want to be spending money on it so anyone know what's going on

does it smell sugary/sour? sure sounds like the head gasket is a likely possibility

well the motor been put in about 3 months ago. before i had it put in i had it sitting for about 4 months. It started smoking ones about month ago but it stopped. The oil is new i just did an oil change, and smoke smells like its burning i might have to do a leakdown test to see. but im going to change the PCV valve see if it helps
re-do your compression test, 60 psi is WAY low...like rings gone low...
when you do your leakdown test, make sure your in a QUIET enviroment so you can hear properly where the air is/isnt/could/might be leaking from...good luck!

well today i drove the car and it kinda stopped the smoke. i checked when the car was on and no smoke was coming out. What could that be ? like i said before i had this same problem but it went away.

Next time you do a compression test make sure the motor is at operating temp and you have to be at WOT. pull the ECU fuse too so it doesn't spray fuel. You shouldn't have more than a 25 psi difference. Good luck if it ends up being your head gasket Its not too hard if you know what your doing

did you recently buy this car? did you put the motor in, or did the pervious owner? jsut lookin at the bumper i feel its been abused. if your burning oil, and you re did the compress test and the numbers are still that low, you need to rebuild or swap.

i just got the motor put in about 4 months ago. so what could be the problem beside its burning oil ? some say head gasket or valve spring or Piston Rings... And yea the body kid bumber is coming off . it got hit and it left that big nasty hole.
first off....when you did your compression test please explain how you did it, because if you did it improperly then you will be misguided.
second when you get this "smoke" is the car cold or is it warm? what rpm does it appear, when you rev it or just at idle??
and last what motor do you have so we can give you an idea of what the compression should be

well im think i didnt do it right but i Took out all the spark plugs and put the hose from the gauge in each cylinder. the but i just cranked it and hold the key until i got a reading. but someone told me just to crank it 3 times so i did it wrong there. and the first time i just took out the one spark plug and when like that to each spark plug...and the smoke starts when i turn on the car when its cold but its not that much. then when then i rev it till 4000 RPM and more smokes comes out
AND i have the SOHC ZC
AND i have the SOHC ZC
ok well the way i have done my compression tests are take the plugs out and hold the key cranking it for 5 cranks for each cylinder ... be sure to record your results as you do it and let us know
sometime on a cold startup and high rpms if it smokes it usually means valve seals but there is no reason to jump to conclusions so we will continue to diag your problem

i will give it another try. I rented the gauge from autozone. the mechanic that always works on my cars does it but charges 20 bucks and 150 to change the the whole head gasket and seals. but damn im broke right now. im eighter thinking of selling the car but not yet sure.
When the car is cold i turn it on and little bit of smoke comes out. But when i rev it up more comes out. not like too much.

all this stuff and you havent changed the oil??? oil condition and consumption can tell alot about an enginshealth.. like they said above if its milky prob. a HG....if it isnt milky then change your oil, put an exact amount of oil in your engine and begin to meter you oil consumption.
if you have a HG problem you will know, but first you have to know how much oil your burning
