z6 rebuild thread *not many pics*
well, heres the history. bought this 1990 ex sedan from someone semi-local a few weeks ago. was given alot of false info about the car, paid too much, and ended up needing a rebuild on the swapped z6. picked it up and it smoked slightly at high rpms. i figured i would daily drive it for awhile and just watch the oil since i didnt plan on raping it often. well, get home from the 110mile ride and its already not reading on the dipstick. so i refill it to full, drive to my dads and back home which is like 24 miles round trip, recheck and its a quart low. pull the plugs and sure enough #3 cylinder is wet.

so i say whatever, order some rings and a top end gasket kit, figure might as well get the valve stem seals done while the head is off. pull the head off and this is what i find.

no big deal, its hone-able, bores are still fine. go to pulling the bottom end apart and this is what i find.

so i go back to the computer and order pistons rings and wristpins and
get my buddy at the local honda dealership to order me OEM rod bearings. which brings me to where i am now, waiting on parts. here is the block in its current stage.

will be updating soon, should get the head back tomorrow.

got all the parts i have been waiting for today.
dropped the pistons off at the machine shop to be pressed on the stock rods.
honed the cylinders.
took some pics, will add them later.
