Default I'm new in here and need advice

I have a 90 Accord EX 5spd and have VTEC fever. I have the opportunity to swap in a conversion from an 01 Prelude. I have heard that I need motor, tranny, wiring harness, ECU and possibly motor mounts from the Prelude. Anything else and is it worth the effort?

Definitely worth the effort, someone w/ a swap is going to have to help you out on this one. Look around the other pages, a lot of topics concerning this.

Welcome to the board.

Do a search. The search function is your friend. This should get you started: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=223138

But next time look around, you didn't even need to search for that thread, as it was on the 1st page of the Accord forum.

Welcome to H-T, but explore the site first and use the search function.

The fourth gen accord swap is the easiest to do you use all of the stock motor mounts and the wiring harness from the accord and just run the correct wires (ie knock sensor, vtec pressure switch and so on)

Hope that is helpful

why do you consider it to be harder than the swap into the 5th ex?

Is the 90-92 Accord considered 4th generation? If so, it sounds like a lot less work than I had anticipated. Some people told me that I needed to change out the wiring harness as well.

90-93 accords are the 4th Gens. I have a '92 accord 4dr DX. here's my car, but it's not all that: http://groups.msn.com/4thGenAccord/s...pgmarket=en-ca

there are 2 guys i know in a local forum running h22a's in there accords with the basic bolt ons (i/h/e) and they are running 14.5's-14.7's. That was their first time @ the track and they were spinning tires all the way through second. I also saw some guy turbo the H22a (with full internals) and he was getting 500+ hp @ the wheels.
