Hi everyone. Yesterday, I went to school and after I had done and ready to go home, I could not crank my car to move. All the dash lights and stereo work inside the car ( assume no battery issue). Everytime when I try to crank the car start, I hear a loud buzz noise....like ZZZZZ at the distributor area. What could be the problem? The car was fine yesterday morning when I drove to school. BTW, it is a 94 accord with 145k. I really want to drive my car back home. Thanks in advanced.

 

You batt may not have enough charge to start or your starter is seized. try tapping the starter with something. Do you hear a click when you turn the key?

 

I can turn my key to (II). But when I turn to (III) which I suppose to fire the car up, all I can hear is a loud buzz noise....ZZZZ at the distributor area. Is this equal to the click noise you are talking about.

 

Sounds like a nice, dead, battery!

 

Alright, I have a bad battery plus a bad starter. Now, I have replaced the battery. But how can I take out the starter? It seems like I only have to remove two 14mm bolts and pull it out. Is it correct? Any tips on starter removal and reinstall?
