This is border line tech but I think toad will let it ride . I am basically to the point of just making one out of vinyl but before I do that I wanted to check with everybody here first. Everybody knows how bad the taillight sticker fades whether it's a civic or crx so maybe somebody here knows of somebody that has already made some (crx in my case) because that would save me the time for sure. I know the dealer can't get them and I never see anything on Ebay soooooooo......any suggestions?


If this ends up with no results I'll just make one and maybe make a tech article on how/what I did, but until then somebody save me the time cause I am sure PLENTY of you guys would appreciate this

I had a decal shop make me a custom set of decals for like, $7. Is it really worth making your own?

I'm not going to lie, I have skills when it comes to this kind of thing. BUt i want it to look facotry as possible so that's what the search is really for

 

I am in for results! I am sure if you take your tail light to a decent vinyl graphic/decal place they will spend the time to get the exact lettering and you could also get the special edition below it. Sale them!!!

 

Only guy that i've seen that remade them exactly to specs no longer makes them. He was on crxcommunity.

Shouldn't be that hard to replicate it though.

 

Hi, i can make nice stickers for the taillight i have make one last week for my new part. It's silver vinyl sticker with clear sticker with round corner to avoid the peeling when you wash you car...look like OEM.

It's possible to make different style just CRX or CR-X DOHC VTEC or not...

Nice looking sitcker for sure, it looks OEM the way the extra clear layer trims the outline of the sticker. Though I would prefer it in OE silver and w/o the "DOHC". the vtec letters should also be "stripped" like honda did it factory.

I ordered some crx vtec decals from ebay.eu search ee8 and they'll pop up. They are $15 shipped to the US. They look really good also.

I did see some @ ebay.uk but I did not feel like dealing with international shipping unless I had no other choice.

 

this might be a bit off subject but some of the jdm models have a slight mettalic silver looking emblem type sticker. all it says is crx and to give you an idea...it looks like the sir or si rear triangle badge YET thin enough not to notice it POPS! out! i didn't realize my jdm zc tail lights i got rid of had them on until the day i handed it to the guy. also, the 89-92 jdm sir crx's had them and i'm picking up a set tommorrow. i basically have all the usdm and jdm rear center taillight emblems ever made minus the special edition jdm version so if you need a set to be photoshopped and file converted to any format, pm me.

Thats not a badge though, it's actually raised up from the tailights. You can make a replica "sticker" thats raised up some but it still won't be exactly like the ZC tails

 

This is different style of JDM taillights, the logo is raised up a bit...real nice its a must if you what real JDM style but cost a bit

I have them. I made the vtec part solid. I didn't want to deal with every little bump and wrinkle making them look bad.
I like the way my vtec looks. I sell them for $15 shipped. I will get a pic of a crx sticker ASAP.

bought one recently on ebay for $3, advertised as "exact oem size", but it was small by maybe 10% or something. but if that doesn't really matter to you, $3 isn't bad i guess. personally sure would like to get one that actually fits though

that's who i got it from. bro scammed me. sticker was too small, some of the sticker took the paper off with it (making it unstickable), "promised" to send me a replacement and never did. maybe your luck will be better though, since this is the only place i've seen these for sale at this point.
