Hey Guys,
I've been entertaining the thought of getting a Double DIN Navigation Unit for my 1999 Honda Prelude. When I look at Crutchfields site and put in my car, it tells me that only a Single DIN unit will fit.

Obviously, from the pic below you can see that there is an empty spot so i'm curious as to why the Double DIN unit will not fit.

I was thinking of the Eclipse AVN6610 or similar model with a 7" touchscreen.
Has anyone successfully added a similar unit to their 5th Gen Prelude?

It should... But you could always pull that trim plate and measure the factory deck & pocket. If they're 4 inches tall (50mm) then yes, a double DIN deck will fit.

Probably need a honda double din kit to have it look perfect though. Looks like the one I just posted has it.

yes it will, a Metra 99-7801 Dash kit will make it really simple
