does anyone here have any 3d solid models for the manifolds, h22 manifolds???

 

good luck. you would have to be a master at surface blending for one and how do you propose measuring anything? lasers?

 

to well I do have someone that is willing to measure all the points of Manifold, about 23000 points per second is the capacity of the probe. which he can then make into a working Solid model, which will only cost me the small amount of 10k.... But since 10k is not an option, I have to get a donor manifold, and hack it up, and do it the old fashion way gages and comparators and Solid works.

 

eww.. comparators. i hope i never have to see one of those again. how do you plan on getting sections without removing too much material? thats also gonna be pricey unless you have a wire EDM

...unless he has a $100K machine that takes 2 hours to cut 12 inches of thick material at $90+/hour shop rate plus tooling and setup expense? lol definately less pricey!

mltv, good luck finding anyone that's got a 3D model. The only people that have the dosh to play with those tools are not going to be in a Prelude forum handing out .dxf files. Getting general dimensions will be far more practical and there are some measurements in the forum archives. Search user Rosko, he's got some Euro-R/H22A comparison pics.

yea I know, I am going to get use a band saw, and part all the runners in half vertically, and gaging it like that and start the long process, about 1 or 2 months should do fine if I spend 2 hours a day on it. I will try to get pick it up.

let me see if I can get photo bucket account and show you guys some ideas of what I am intenting. so far all the big guys cant do it or they simply dont reply. But thanks for the info
