start by cleaning it up, and atleast giving it a tune up. tranny fluid flush and fill, oil flush and fill, radiator flush and fill, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, battery, brake pads, etc. Things that will make a difference, because without receipts from the previous owners, you truly never know what the car has been through and when what was changed.
Looks like a nice lil project you have yourself. After you get her running nicely, then work on the body, get it situated and lined up, then paint if you want.

cars hurting quite a bit.
i wouldnt bother with anything engine swap related until you fix the structural damage.
the first part you should buy is the correct honda sized battery.
next get a set of oem corner lights off someone on here or ebay for ~ 10$
next buy flat black brake caliper paint or even krylon for 5$ at the auto parts store and take car of those wipers. however remove the arms totally from the car or make sure to cover the entire windshield so you dont get overspray on the glass.
is the hood actually bent? try removing the battery altogether and make sure that thing latches.
if it doesnt latch then you may have some more serious bodywork ahead of you.
you need properly working blinkers and aimed headlights to stay safe, i'd say thats priority #1 imho
as for the rest..... do you care about cosmetics? some guys don't. its really up to you no one can tell you what to do since its opinion.

Looks like a fun project. I would start out fixing the battery like others said and get the front back together. I would almost keep the HF engine in there for a while while gas is high and use that cash to get a swap.
