1997 Honda Civic no power steering
yo fellow noob haha so u want PS on ur civic?
im sure its as easy as going to ur local junk yard and getting the set up and havin someone slap it in if you cant do it yourself.
me have no PS and no AC and no ABS and no power windows hahah weight reduction baby!

Power steering is overrated. Pump yourself up with de powah steerhing! *Arnold voice*
Yeah, all the power steering does is improve convenience of turning the wheel while the vehicle is going exactly 0 mph. Get the wheels moving even the slightest bit, and it's just as easy, unless you're like 90lbs. Not worth the effort IMO.

na i had a 97 dx and it didn't have ps. i have had 3 civics 92 hb,95 coup and the 97coupe civic none of them had ps. but the 97 had air i didn't understand that.yep junk yard or maybe ebay. good luck with the search

Is it a US EX? If so, the VIN will start with 1HGEJ8.
If it's a US Civic EX, it should have power steering unless it was removed. If it was removed, it is probably not totally removed, which makes adding the stock stuff back in that much easier.

Not all 1996-2000 Civics have power steering. I can only speak for the US market for sure.

Not all 1996-2000 Civics have power steering. I can only speak for the US market for sure.
