Last Sunday, I attended my first road race at Tsukuba. Had I known road racing was this fun, I would have done it a looooong time ago.
Anyways, my times weren't too hot. Because of my inexperience (misshifts, wide turns, fear
) 1'17"00 was my best lap. The fastest lap of the day was set by an R34 GTR which was 1'09"xx, which in itself wasn't too terribly quick for a GTR.
I spun out once on the last hairpin of the last lap, which was quite scary. Fortunately, there was no damage or injuries (except to the ego). I passed a few GTRs and STi's; I also got passed by a Fit and a Suzuki Cappuccino, when my tires caught a lot of marbles and the handling went to hell.
Overall, it was an awesome day. Here are the pics and I will try to get some vids up too.
EDIT:
Here are the vids:
This is the first run. Tons of misshifts and rev limiter bumping , but I still manage to maintain mid-field position. Next time I will run the track like Austrian Type-R

This is the continuation. I was trying to chase down the blue STi that passed me. I caught up to and passed one of them, but the other was too quick. I utimately did a very scary spin on the final hairpin, and got the checker flag at the end, so the second STi got away.

There were some professionals at the last one who were REALLY fast, but everyone at this one were pretty average. Even I could keep up with the majority of the field
