more like i doubt you were@ 17 psi on those injectors.

i would grab some 1000's like homeboy said and step up the manifold if you can.

Log manifolds have been proven to 600whp+ so thats not too much of a worry here. The manifold helps keep the thought of bling factor on a lower level and i like that for the use of the car

I will be upping the injector once i pass emissions but until then they will stay low, but i will probabibly go with some 1000's once i get the retune.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I agree with no need for a manifold upgrade on such a turbocharger. after about 424whp or so, you're just losing efficiency, blowing hot air through the TB, (creating detonation-inducing heat), and giving the turbo a reduced life in the long run.

Too many times even in the DSM community, have 50 trims like that been beaten to death, all in the name of saying they can run 30+psi, on a turbo, and wonder why their Intake temps are so high..

You want power, get a larger unit..

I havent really set any goal for this setup, aside from some decent efficency.

The only reason i haven't upgraded is because i got a great deal on the turbo, so i think i am going to keep it. And for right now its about the most lag i want for a daily driven car. i dont like the fact that i have to rev the car as high as i do now just to get a little boost. The car spins the tires pretty bad as is, but i want to be able to turn the boost up for when there is a slick on the car.

All the talk aside i would just like to see what everyone is making with this turbo on B16's

Let's face it, you are a smaller displacement 4 cylinder application, and it is going to take some rpms (which in turn leads to more exhaust energy) to make this turbo work in the power range you need, moreso than a 6 cyl or an 8. There are other ways to be able to keep the car within its powerband but don't be afraid of the rpms, man, that's what they're for in a honda. Its going to be about 424 -450whp max, before people just switch it out.

there are a lot of other ways to "wake up" your system when it comes to using that turbo, without necessarily having to use more boost. But please be aware, you are a small displacement inline 4 cylinder, and you're going to have to get some rpms (which leads to more exhaust energy) to get it to move, bottom line. As I said, many people here will be around 420-430 maximum

i have never got that turbo to make over 410whp on rigth many cars ... race gas ,pump gas, H engine ,gsr or ls/vtec,, the turbo just stops making power around 390-410whp but on every engine it never takes the same amont of boost

BUT ONLY ON HONDA-TECH IS WHERE U SEE PEOPLE MAKE 500WHP ON TURBOS LIKE THIS
(ill never understand)

I wouldnt put injectors in that big... Pulse width wont be what you want.. that turbocharger probably isnt good for much past 425whp on a B16 imo; if that... 750CC would be great.

Bigger isnt always better

A friend of mine had a high compression 84mm B16 w/ a large T3/T4 57 trim he made 677whp on a dynojet w/ C16. It had a RevHard race manifold, 1000cc precision injectors, Crower turbo cams. The car ran like a beast. Turbo didn't last more than a month, he upgraded to a T3/60-1 HiFi from Full-Race, the RevHard manifold cracked like 4 times before he sold it and bought a Full-Race Ram Horn, and it popped a couple headgaskets. He had that motor to it's limits. He drove the car everyday and beat the hell out of it. That car was soo much fun. It ran like a bat out of hell. This was back in 2004 when numbers like that on a full street car was unheard of. The car had full interior, 2 10' subs in the trunk, and a flip out Pioneer headunit/TV. We'd do highway money runs against turbo Camaro's, Mustangs, and Supras. It was fun we'd video tape all that crap. Those were the good ole days.

He ended up pulling the motor and had to pull it apart and deck the block(decking the head didn't help the headgasket problem). He then swapped to a fully built and sleeved B18C1 longblock built by Jim Stewart and turning his Si into a full SFWD car w/ cage and all.

No nitrous just boost. Like I said the turbo didn't last anything but a month if that. It didn't even blow the seals it completely seized up and left him stranded. He was pushing the car to the max. He asked to tuner to run everything very aggressive(timing/boost). He wanted to make the most hp in a B16 in GA. Another friend of ours had an EK w/ a sleeved B16 making like 550 or so on a large Precision turbo at the time.

theres no way he made 677 with a 57 trim on a t3/t04e 57 trim on any tune

theres no such thing as a large one .. it must have been a t3/t04e like a sc63 or something of that sort not a 57trim! someone lied to him
