Default Is it always necessary...

Thanks for reading. At the moment I have my cylinder head off and just wanted to know if it's always necessary to resurface the cylinder head prior to installation?

Use more descriptive titles.

There is a spec for straightness, check your helms manual.

Short answer is no, as long as the block hasn't been messed with.

no like mgags said it isnt always nessassary. However you want to check the straightness with a straight edge and make sure its very clean prior to installation. Helms gives you all the info and specifications needed for this.
