The 3567 is legal, that turbo measures around 61mm at the inducer.

What tires are you questioning?

Restricted to a single turbocharger. Turbocharger must utilize a
turbine housing inlet flange commonly referred to as a T04. The
turbine housing inlet flange may be smaller but may never exceed
the T04 dimensions in any direction.
All applications limited to a maximum 66mm (2.598 inches) where
the maximum compressor wheel diameter may not exceed
66.5mm (2.618 inches) measured at the point where the leading
edge of the compressor wheel meets the housing; the compressor
housing inducer diameter may not exceed 67.75mm (2.667 inches)
measured at the point where the leading edge of the compressor
wheel meets the housing. Compressor wheel inducer contours of
wheel may not be stepped, notched, or clipped; e.g., the contours
must be continuous features from the inducer to the wheel
exducer. All air entering the turbocharger must pass through the
turbocharger inlet. Injection of any liquid, gas, or any other
substance into the inlet or exhaust housing is prohibited.
Turbocharger compressor wheel must be constructed of cast or
billet aluminum. Exotic material wheels prohibited.

what is it 66.5 or 66.75?

ohh stop crying floyd. Joe couldnt race anything but NDRA last year. they got a bit more strict on the rules being the NHRA and made the class better. you would think your tooner would have told you your turbo wasnt legal

Why don't you go out and measure your turbo instead of everyone throwing around what is legal and what isn't? It takes all of 3 minutes to pull the compressor cover on and throw a caliper on it. That should tell you 100% if you're legal or not.

A standard 35R should be legal, if it has the T67 compressor wheel in it, it most likely isn't legal. Measure it to confirm.

you can make plenty of power in power street with a borg warner turbo. this is the S366xl that broke a trans before we could finish. only about 31psi and before we switched to a bigger exhaust housing

Take the housing off and measure the wheel. I can't remember but I thought the 67 wheel measured 66.5 and the housing was like 67.xx Turbos....yuk

The t4/t67 would be a great choice. Just have to measure the compressor cover, but i believe its legal. With a GTQ wheel and .81a/r housing, the turbo is capable of 155mph traps. Even with a p-trim wheel and .68a/r housing its capable of low 150mph traps.

BTW, the gt3567r really never seemed to make much more power than our straight gt35r when we did back to back testing for full-race. Our trap speed only increased 1-2mph at most. The 67mm wheel needs more turbine wheel than the 35r wheel, it just cant move enough. I wished i monitored back pressure with the test, just didnt have anything to log it with on our car.

The turbo that I ran last year (PT 6776 ballbearing P-trim with .96A/R ex. housing) had enough power to run 148mph and 145mph on 235's in a 2400 pound car. So theres penty of turbos out there to choose from.
