Started my Vitara build.... had a question....
SO I finally decided to start my D16 Vitara build. After dismantling my spare block I noticed a very small "nick" at the top of the deck on the outer edge of the water jacket on the cylinder closest to the dizzy. I was wondering if this is going to cause any problems for me down the road? Is it something that I shouldnt worry about or do I need to scrap the whole block and source a new one, or the machine shop can possibly fix? Thanks!

Ok. Also, When I took it apart, the rod bearing on that cylinder was broke clean in half
I could still rotate the crank by hand with ease, so my other question is how can I tell if the crankshaft is ruined? I would like to use the same crank if possible.... The guy I bought the block from said it started to knock just before he pulled the motor, so hopefully there is minimal damge......but I don't really know.
