still stalling
recap:
250k - tune up- plugs, wires, cap and rotor.
260k - o/c - put fuel injector cleaner in tank that was 1/4 full meaning to fill up...forgot to fill up until it had been driven for about 40 miles
started stalling that day during the 40 miles before i filled up.
while driving. never while idling. either while cruising or just after taking off. when it happens i have to restart it a few times and it will come back on. it will drive fine for 15 minutes to a half an hour or so, then it will stall a few times for about 5 minutes, then it is ok again for another 15 minutes to a half an hour again.
when it stalls the headlights stay on, the panel lights go out momentarily, then the check engine light comes on.
i did everything you guys suggested so far and some.
-sprayed throttle body cleaner into throttle body, and wiped clean everything i could reach inside
-ignition switch had pitted contact points-replaced
-ignition coil failed 2 out of 3 tests in haynes manual-replaced
-all the valves were loose and lock nuts were seized-adjusted valves and replaced nuts
-replaced fuel filter.
what is next?
