he Guys,
A friend of mine changed his valvestems on his ITR 96, I have seen on the net that the intake comes with silver springs, and exh with black springs.
There might be a chance that he used the new stems on intake or Exhuast ,does it matter? or must the black springs be on Exhuast and Silver Springs on Intake?
if so what are the conseguences.
Regards,
Rishi

A black spring around the valve stem seal means it goes on the exhaust side. A white or silver spring on the valve stem seal means that it goes on the intake side. They are not to be interchanged. The stem diameter on the intake side is bigger than the stem on the exhaust side and if you mix them up, your exhaust side will leak and your intake side will wear faster than normal.
