Default still having starting problems

k. i thought i figured it out. i have no idea why my car doesnt like to start. its a 89 si. i replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plug wires, cap n rotor, and spark plug wires. the car started right up when i replaced the spark plug wires. and now its doing like it did before. i have to crank it for like 2 minutes and wait for it to start goin. then it starts goin and i dont have a problem anymore. the car only has trouble when the engine isnt warm. i also replaced that coolent sensor right on top of the tranny. any ideas to why my car wont start normal. the distributer is dated 2004 to so its kinda new but not really.

Listen for the main relay to click. If that's not working, it'll turn over and not start. I've seen 4 other civics with this problem. It's a large black relay on the drivers side above the kick panel about midway up. If it won't start, tap it with the butt end of a screwdriver and it'll fire.

if its the main relay i have 2 extra ones here that I will give you cheap. I'm in washington so if you want to pay for one and try it to make sure its the main relay you can. If you replace it with the relay you got from me and it still does the same thing you can return it to me and I will give back your money.

ok its still not starting right away. im pretty sure its not the main relay. it clicks everytime i start it. once the car has been started i can keep starting it up. then if i let it sit for a few hours. it wont start again. it will just try to crank over and then it wont for like 5 minutes. then once it starts it blows out a cloud a smoke. maybe its not getting a good enough spark. i duno. anymore ideas. has anyone had this problem.
