Default Purpose of these JDM side fog lights

I was browsing on eBay and found these. I saw pictures of them before but always wondered what was the purpose of the side fog lights.

For flanking rabid deer. I'm sure they can be funcitonal, but its probably just for looks and another attempt for someone to make money.

LOL, IDK about JDM deer. I guess Honda Access came out with an accessory that is pretty much useless.

Here is my guess on those lights.

Have you ever driven a Cadillac? When you turn the turn signal on, there is a light on the side that turns on shines in the direction you are going. These appear to do the same thing, as I believe they only turn on when the turn signal goes on.

Cornering/Intersection Lights

They turn on when the turn signal pops on.

So, in addition to side markers, you have really HUGE side markers. Just in case you have a bunch of kareha drivers that can't see too well.

The headlights already have fogs in them, plus you are driving straight not to the left or right.

But the explanation above is probably true of the fogs' purpose.

That's it. They supposed to help you see around the corner as you turn.

I do belive they are a UKDM thing, I dont think they were available in Japan.

I've seen another JDM 'front' Integra with them. I believe it was an R too. I've never seen it on a non-JDM front end.

Kinda JDM rice imho. Not for me, but to each his own. They are actually intersection lights. They stay solid when the turn signal on that side is accitvated. Caddy's and for T-Birds have them. Helps old timer's see the median their about to hit!!

I'm just curious. I won't spend money on something so useless.
